What would you consider the best TV show main title theme ever?
Right now I’m feeling pretty good about Star Trek: Next Generation but Doctor Who and Game of Thrones are right up at the front of the pack as well.
On the quirkier side, I also really like the themes for Breaking Bad and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I’ll also note that title music for Mission Impossible is certainly great, but it also grates on me some after a while, unlike all my other favorites.
Which TV tunes are at the top of the list for you?
The original theme for fresh prince was great. the shortened version used in later seasons is flawed in that leaving out the part bout the plane leaves is saying he took a cab from philly to bel air. I like the Hawaii060 theme by the ventures.

TNG and Who surely sit high up. Friends was damn catchy, as was Big Bang Theory.
A recent and the most catching intro Music I’ve come across is the intro from Critical Roles second Campaign, which they themselves produced.
It’s not a TV Show per se. But what today counts as that?

Catchy is hnk a great quality for a title theme and since you’ve prompted me with that and I wasn’t considering it before, I might add the Cheers title theme to my list. Musically it’s not very interesting to me but it clicks into the repeat circuits of the brain pretty easily. Thanks for the link, yeah, “TV Show” doesn’t mean the same thing any more or to everyone and I absolutely mean to include other serial video content.
