I believe the photo was taken by a photgrapher sent by a magazine for a story and Mitchell asked him if he’d take a picture of the team just for us since most of us were there that day.
I love the laptops all akimbo and the Ethernet cable hanging from the ceiling. That whiteboard behind us, that’s where we came up with the name Firefox. We had names of animals on the left side and forces of nature on the right. It was Jason Kersey that connected Fire and Fox, ending almost a year of naming drama, trials, and tribulations.

What were you early experiences with computers that led you to join Mozilla? Thinking of that window between Mosaic/Netscape launching and a visual web. It seems like such a short window from 1993 to 1998 looking back on it. Were there some formative experiences that contributed to making this your life’s work?
